They sell solar battery chargers that you plug into your cigarette lighter, but since you're open to the offbeat, get either a potato or a lemon and a piece of nickle and copper, jamb the pieces of metal on either side of it and attach wires to your battery. It's not much, but it does produce electricity.

Not sure about lithium rechargeables, but the guy above is right about Nickel Metal Halide rechargeables.

If you just want lithium AA batteries, I've seen them from Energizer and Duracell, and they last10x longer than regular alkaline batteries. They're made for digital cameras. But the thing is, they aren't rechareable. You'll need to replace them sooner or later.

When next buying rechargeable batteries go for as high a mAh capacity as possible, they will give longer operating times and need fewer in-between charges.
I use 2700mAh types. They may give several hundred charge-discharge cycles so certainly cost effective.

Make happiness your top priority in life...centralize it in your life.

Make a list of what makes you happy...what you enjoy doing...what you are good at.

Incorporate items from your happiness list each and every day into your life.

Also develop the gratitude habit...start appreciating what you have in your life instead of worrying about what you don't have yet.

Good Luck!

I assume you mean "rechargeable alkaline" batteries.

It depends on the capacity of the battery and the power of the Flash light.

If the battery is fully charged you might expect at least a few hours of light.

If you want to have a long life for your battery keep them under charge. Alkaline batteries like it.
