I just purchased a Kodak EasyShare C613 for a Christmas gift. What particular kind of lithium batteries does this camera take? Do they need to be Kodak brand? Are they more than one kind of AA lithium batteries for digitial cameras? What are the best kind?

You can buy a rechargable kodak battery pack for it you you want but it would probably be cheaper to just buy some rechargable AAs. The rechargeable AAs dont need to be li-on, they can be Ni-Mh, although li-on do last longer. The brand doesnt need to be kodak either, just get a well known one like energizer or something.

Can rechargeable NiCd batteries (1.2 V, 600 mAh) be recharged in NiMH battery charger (Kodak K620 Value Charger). The battery charger says charge only NiMH rechargeable batteries.

I’d follow the recommendation on the charger. The K620 is a “dumb” charger with a current output intended for overnight charging of NiMH cells. Your NiCds have a much lower capacity and are intended to be charged at a much lower rate.
I have a pile of those chargers that I won’t even use on the Kodak branded “white” label (precharged) cells that they came with. The cells themselves aren’t bad though.
